Everyone who claims that BBC’s 1995 adaptation IS NOT the best film version of Pride and Prejudice clearly receives coal for Christmas and wants the whole world to know just how upset they are.
You definitely earned a sub (meaning on Substack, since one lady got overly excited the other day)
That is a level 2 smoulder, but it's no Ross Poldark (Aidan Turner) smouldering on a clifftop, is it (level 4, minimum)? Even Ross Poldark (Robin Ellis) could only muster level 3 smouldering. Fun fact: Poldark (1975) was THE best selling costume drama on home video until Colin did his wet shirt thing and P&P (1995) finally outsold it.
I listened to your episode of the rule of three podcast years ago and loved it! Then an embarrassing amount of time later I realised you played Megan in peep show, the dinner party episode is one of the best episodes of sitcom I’ve ever seen, my brother and I were howling at it!

And nice to meet you!
You had me at Colin Firth…
Good to meet you! Who could turn down Colin Firth in a frilly shirt? (Or not in a frilly shirt…)
Hi Cariad, I’m so glad to see you over here. I can’t begin to express how much Griefcast helped me a couple of years ago so thank you. 🥰
Yep, the picture of Colin Firth swayed me. I salute you 🫡
And Moomin Chat. Always here for that.
What about Lloyd's Voids (empty, yet welcoming spaces where we can be emotional if we need to, then laugh about)?
Thrilled that you’re here!
You had me at the picture of Darcy
Hurrah!!
Here for all of it! (especially the grief talk ❤️🩹)
thank you x
Yeyyyy was hoping you would get on here soonish. Another place for us weirdo book lovers to congregate
❤️
Sold!

These are the facts we need right now

Moomins! Moomins! Moomins!
Welcome to Substack, Cariad! I’m a few months in and it’s been mostly lovely so far - a fun place to write.
Also, a little (very) late to the party I’ve discovered Weirdos Book Club and thoroughly enjoying it. Some great recommendations.
Ah thank you!
