Hello!
I’m Cariad, thank you so much for being here, if we haven’t met before, I am an actor/writer/podcaster/improviser who talks a lot about books/grief/comedy/improv and does her best to cope with this current world we are watching through the internet.
I don’t have a fun name for this place yet, I don’t know if i’m focussed enough to do that, so at the moment it’s just me and my head and its thoughts. (Uh-oh!) But, I am good at holding hands, I have been complimented for my hugs as well, and I just want to provide a place where we can be :
a) emotional if we need to
b) then make a joke about our emotions to hide our innate human vulnerabilities
and
c) then occasionally recommend nice books/cakes/skincare products if you have rosacea.
If this sounds bearable, please do tell your friends, share links, all the usual things that people who shout into the internet want you to do. I promise I will inevitably also talk about moomins/herbal tea/thermal layers/cake/chocolate/children’s books/ grown-up books/clothes/Jane Austen/improv/the BBC 1995 adaptation of Pride & Prejudice, at some point as well, if that sways you.

And how could it not?
Everyone who claims that BBC’s 1995 adaptation IS NOT the best film version of Pride and Prejudice clearly receives coal for Christmas and wants the whole world to know just how upset they are.
You definitely earned a sub (meaning on Substack, since one lady got overly excited the other day)
And nice to meet you!
You had me at Colin Firth…
