Thank you for mentioning Boss of the Underworld, Cariad! I saw you about ten years ago in Edinburgh doing a solo character sketch show, and have been a big fan ever since (and LOVE Austentatious), so this really made my day. Thank you!

My child is only 4...but 6 months till 5 isn't THAT long to wait I guess, then I COULD push some of these on him then and see how they land (bascially I want to read all these now...)

I would definitely try one that seems most up his street, and see how it goes, you can always put it on the shelf till he’s ready! (Then you get to read it too…)

Yes! Hotel Flamingo appeals as a way in. On another note, I'd be really curious to know how you manage all the books your children have, in terms of storage, and 'tidying away' books they have grown out of. (I'm imagining you have LOTS of kids books!) We've only been parents for 4 years, both my husband and I are constantly buying picture books, we're obsessed. I know its off topic - but could you share your wisdom on this?

We have a cupboard storage thing from Ikea, that can hold a surprisingly large amount of books. I'll try and find if they still do it. I'm also a fan of the Ikea storage shelves that face the picture books out, then you can put the really pretty ones as artwork. We also are big believers in stacking them along the floor, in long piles - means the kids can reach them and fairly easy to tidy back up when they've gone through them all!

Thank you! really appreciate the reply. Stacking on the floor is a good idea. I’ll look out for the ikea one shelves that allow the books to display, i live using picture books for instant art! ☺️
